BROWNIE WITH HIS- 2017 LEGEND AWARD!
We love to welcome everyone to our special little piece of bush! it is very special for us to open our gates every year & allow visitors from all over Australia onto our place here at Bony Mountain. We are working very hard to provide a wonderful natural habitat to encourage all of our native Australian wildlife ! Tree corridors, watering points, shelter and providing a peaceful safe environment for them. We are thrilled to have resident koala's here, and some spectacular birdlife! King Parrots have two babies this year! and many more we don't see! Our kangaroos and wallabies consider this their home & we try to encourage them to feel safe and happy bringing up their babies here as well. You can understand why we are strict with (dogs on leads) and we allow your little mates to come , but please respect our precious wildlife and help us protect them. Our own dog (George)is always contained and never allowed to run free! Our big logs here all provide a perfect home for our golden lizards and several other species. So please do not chop into any of our fallen timber! it is home to some of our critters! We have conducted special weekend (open days) with our Land Care/Wildlife gurus & we are home to some rare fuana.
-NO NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN WOOD!
WARWICK PIPE THISTLE BAND
We have fifty acres here so plenty of room !
KING PARROT CAMP
BUSH LEMON CAMP
There really is plenty of room to spread! you can choose a camp on arrival if you are a large group & wish to all stay together. Some camps are pretty private others close to the main stage & all the action. We all love our campfires here & weather permitting you can light up your central campfire & make that your centre piece. Local Rural Fire Brigade is always in attendance here.
Don't expect manicured lawns, expect, Kangaroos, koala, cockatoos, Lizards, king parrots, etc, this is the bush!
For those who need to be close to the main camp, for wheelchair access- please let us know this when you book your site ! If you fancy a nice bush walk every morning to Main Stage area, thats fine too.
We are only 20 minutes out of Warwick, when you book your site, you'll be sent a mud map, but there will be plenty of signs showing the way. Please note! Our Festival site is situated on a sandy ridge it is not possible to be bogged or stuck here if we get heavy rain! Our camping area is nearly all sandy ground & we could have inches of rain here & not be effected. Ours is the safest Festival site as far as entrance and exits- we have been careful to allow for any emergency here.
